Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools is seeking an Activity Sponsor for the National Technical Honor Society at Proviso Math & Science Academy. The sponsor will mentor students, align activities with district goals, and collaborate with staff to provide a safe, engaging extracurricular experience.

The role is an extra‑duty stipend position reporting to the Director of Athletics and Activities and the Building Principal or Designee.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with students in a school setting.
• Willingness to take responsibility for all duties associated with the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide active and effective supervision for all club activities and events.
• Ensure off‑campus activities follow district procedures and obtain proper permissions.
• Maintain compliance with district policies and FERPA/Title IX requirements.
• Guide students in planning inclusive, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the club's mission.
• Coordinate logistics and facility usage to ensure safe, well‑organized events.
• Communicate expectations clearly and maintain open, timely communication with stakeholders.
