Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools is seeking an Athletics/Activities Sponsor for Proviso East High School. The role involves organizing, supervising, and promoting a student club in alignment with district goals and student development.

The sponsor acts as a mentor and liaison, ensuring a safe, inclusive extracurricular experience. Preference given to PTU members per bargaining agreements; stipend details follow district schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students in a school setting.
• Willingness to take responsibility for all duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision for club activities, ensuring safety and adherence to policies.
• Ensure off-campus activities are approved and permission slips and transportation are arranged.
• As a mandated reporter, comply with required training and reporting obligations.
• Guide students in planning and executing developmentally appropriate activities that align with the club's mission and values.
• Maintain clear communication with staff, administrators, and families regarding events and expectations.
• Manage the club's budget and records in line with district procedures.
• Attend sponsor meetings and school events as required.
• Promote student involvement and provide opportunities for leadership and teamwork.
