Job summary

Covista, a leading healthcare education provider in the United States, seeks a Student Accounts specialist to support active and past due balances across multiple institutions. You will manage a portfolio of student accounts, communicate payment options, and help students make informed financial decisions to resume studies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in consumer collections.
• Knowledgeable in collections regulations, laws and processing procedures.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, critical thinking, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of assigned student accounts to ensure payment is received; research, validate data, and postings in ledgers.
• Collect payments on open balances; make outbound calls and respond to emails and Salesforce cases.
• Negotiate payment plans with students in accordance with policy.
• Reduce delinquency for all assigned accounts to minimize bad debt.
• Deliver on department goals and activity metrics.
• Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to deliver optimal results.
• Provide exceptional customer care by researching issues and resolving them satisfactorily.
• Escalate and resolve issues as the point of contact for students.
