Job summary

Howard University seeks a Student Accounts Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Office of the Bursar's student account operations, customer engagement, and service delivery. This on-site role leads a team, ensures fiscal stewardship, and partners across the University to strengthen financial operations and support student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in student financial services or bursar operations.
• Three years of supervisory or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Student Account Analysts and customer service staff by establishing performance expectations.
• Oversee the delivery of student account services across in-person, virtual, email, and self-service channels.
• Manage daily operations, staffing, workload distribution, and procedural efficiency.
• Analyze data to monitor performance, develop KPIs, and implement data-informed improvements.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid, the Registrar, Admissions, Housing, and other stakeholders to support student success.
