Fitch Ratings in Chicago seeks an Analyst to join its Structured Credit Alternative Products group. You will analyze new transaction proposals using securitization principals, rating structures, and structured credit tools while collaborating with a global team.

The role offers exposure to leading market practices, strong analytical challenges, and opportunities for growth within Fitch's credit analysis framework. Hybrid work arrangement is available in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field (finance, accounting, economics).
• 1 year of financial industry experience preferred, especially in structured credit/finance.
• Strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; programming knowledge a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze critical credit, legal, and structural elements of transaction proposals.
• Act as primary or secondary analyst for transaction ratings; defend credit views with issuers and investors.
• Contribute to development of rating criteria and improve existing frameworks.
• Lead or support sector trend research reports and projects.
