Fitch Ratings, located in New York, is seeking an Analyst for Structured Credit Alternative Products to analyze credit, legal, and structural elements of complex proposals. The role involves rating transactions, defending credit views, and contributing to rating-criteria development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, accounting, or economics.
• At least 1 year of experience in the financial industry, preferably related to Structured Credit/Structured Finance.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite; programming languages is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze critical credit, legal, and structural elements of transaction proposals.
• Act as primary or secondary analyst for transaction ratings and defend credit views in discussions with issuers and investors.
• Contribute to development of rating criteria and renovation of existing frameworks.
• Lead or support sector trend research reports and projects.
