Job summary

CEC Companies in Irving, TX is seeking a Technology Technician to support maintenance, installations, additions, and repairs of structured cabling systems on various projects. You will work under a Foreman or Superintendent to ensure safety and efficiency on site.

The role requires 3+ years of on-the-job communications experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a drug and background check. The position involves indoor/outdoor work, lifting, and possible overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of on-the-job communications work experience.
• High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent.
• Must pass drug and background check.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lay out work and prep materials for installation.
• Perform overhead and underground layout and rough-in.
• Terminate copper cable including coaxial, multi-pair and Cat 3-6.
• Measure, cut, bend, assemble and install cable tray.
• Assemble and install relay racks, network cabinets, and components.
• Perform fiber optic installation and terminations.
• Troubleshoot, repair and resolve problems in structured cabling systems.
• Operate power and hand tools and equipment.
• Perform other project related duties as assigned.
