Mortenson is seeking a Design Phase Engineer I or II – Structured Cabling to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. This role supports project leadership during design phase related to customer experience, financial performance, schedule, estimating, design and planning for a smooth transition to construction operations.

The position offers two levels based on experience, with compensation determined by experience and location; base range and office-location adjustments apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating, or equivalent field.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Project, and web applications.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Support and potentially lead EPC contract negotiations with customers and align scope, budget, and schedule.
• Assist in establishing and managing project budget and scope expectations.
