Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Structure Inspection Project Manager in Virginia to lead bridge, tunnel, and culvert inspection programs. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and client relations while mentoring staff and guiding project delivery with NBIS compliance.

Experience with UAS/drones, 3D modeling, and regulatory standards is essential. Travel up to 25% will support regional inspections across Virginia and nearby areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; multi-state licensure preferred.
• 10+ years in bridge/tunnel/structure inspection, NBIS leadership.
• NHI NBIS certifications and ongoing refresher training.
• Proven NBIS-compliant project delivery and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage bridge, tunnel, culvert, and related structure inspection projects, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client communication.
• Lead inspection teams, oversee field activities, and prepare reports and deliverables.
• Apply inspection technologies such as UAS/drones and 3D modeling to improve delivery.
• Coordinate with structural engineers to discuss findings and recommendations.
• Monitor budgets, task orders, resources, invoicing, and progress reporting.
• Mentor staff through training, credential management, and field leadership.
• Support client relationships, business development, proposals, and industry engagement.
