Responsibilities

• Operates Gas-Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, Gas-Tungsten Arc, Submerged Arc or Shielded Metal Arc welding processes.
• Joins steel components or metal plates per blueprints/work orders.
• Preheats work pieces using torch for welding preparation.
• Removes excess welds and cleans joints as needed.
• Assists with positioning and handling of heavy parts and climbs ladders or scaffolds as required.
