Optimized Process Designs LLC seeks a Structural Welder for a Baytown, TX jobsite. You will weld structural steel and related equipment, read drawings, and operate welding gear in a safety-focused team environment.

The role requires 2+ years of welding experience, English proficiency, and the ability to pass ASME IX 6G SMAW/GTAW and AWS D1.1 tests; expect up to 12-hour shifts and outdoor work in variable conditions.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of structural welding experience.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Must own the necessary welding tools for structural fabrication.
• Ability to pass ASME Section IX 6G SMAW/GTAW tests and AWS D1.1 plate tests.

Responsibilities

• Weld skids, structural steel and related equipment per specs.
• Read drawings and interpret welding symbols.
• Operate tools including grinders, beveling machines, torches, and measuring devices.
• Set up welder equipment and maintain safe, productive work practices.
• Work with minimal supervision and in a team; maintain safety and quality.
• Be on time and participate in onsite safety meetings.
