Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Construction Welder to inspect, repair, and fabricate structural components for industrial and commercial facilities. You will weld and cut materials to meet precise specifications, ensuring safe and durable structures that support ongoing operations at customer sites.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing MIG and stick welding on various metals, and fabricating new structural parts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of MIG welding and fabrication experience.
• Proficiency in MIG welding on structural steel and other metals.
• Experience with stick welding for structural applications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience welding stainless steel and sheet metal as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect existing handrails, catwalks, guard rails, platforms, staircases and similar structures to identify wear, damage and safety issues.
• Repair and reinforce structural components using MIG and stick welding techniques to restore strength and functionality.
• Fabricate new structural steel components according to blueprints and project specifications.
• Perform MIG welding on structural steel, stainless steel, and sheet metal to create accurate welds.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan work and lay out materials.
