Job summary

Ameri-Force, Inc. is seeking a Structural Welder/Fabricator to build and install strong metal structures. You will read blueprints, set up welding equipment, and ensure welds meet specifications while maintaining a safe workspace.

You will work with MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-core welding, performing QA through visual and penetrant testing to guarantee structural integrity and alignment. The role requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Exceptional skills in various welding techniques with a focus on structural steel and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
• Knowledge of welding tools and equipment including welding machines, grinders, cutting torches, and clamps.
• Adherence to OSHA regulations for a safe work environment and high-quality welds.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot welding defects to ensure structural integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding techniques including MIG, TIG, stick, or flux-core welding to join metal components and structures.
• Set up and operate welding equipment with proper voltage, amperage, and wire feed speed.
• Cut, shape, and prepare metal materials using torches, grinders, and other tools.
• Perform non-destructive testing methods such as visual inspections and dye penetrant testing to identify defects.
