Job summary

Worley is seeking a skilled industrial construction/maintenance welder to join our on-site team in Baytown, TX. You will layout, align, and fit components for installation and weld using arc, submerged arc, or gas methods, while following safety rules and blueprints.

Responsibilities include hoisting equipment, verifying alignment with plumb bobs or lasers, bolting connections, and cutting/welding iron and steel pieces.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
• Knowledge and understanding of MSDS sheets with management/supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lay out position, align, and fit components together for installation.
• Set up welding equipment and weld parts using arc, submerged arc, or gas welding.
• Hoist equipment and tools into location via riggings or crane.
• Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of structural-steel members using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, and/or levels.
• Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts following blueprints and instructions from supervisors.
• Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment.
• Additional responsibilities not listed may be required.
