Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Structural and Thermal Analysis Engineer II to support the design, analysis, and validation of advanced solid propulsion systems. You will perform high-fidelity FEA, coupled thermal-stress analyses, and develop models using ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, and Thermal Desktop, collaborating with design, manufacturing, and test teams.

Colorado-based, full-time exempt role; requires a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 3+ years of structural and thermal analysis experience.
• Proficient in FEA and thermal modeling tools.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and test data.

Responsibilities

• Perform FEA for structural integrity and thermal performance of SRM components.
• Conduct coupled thermal-stress analyses under extreme conditions.
• Develop analytical models and validate with test data.
• Collaborate across design, manufacturing, and test teams.
• Prepare reports and participate in design reviews.
