Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Structural Analyst II to perform high-fidelity structural and thermal analyses for SRM products. You will work with design, manufacturing, and test teams to support development, qualification, and production programs.

Required are a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 3+ years in aerospace structural/thermal analysis, with proficiency in FEA tools and a knowledge of high-temperature material behavior.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in structural and thermal analysis of aerospace components.
• Proficiency in FEA and thermal modeling tools.
• Understanding of material properties and high-temperature structural behavior.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-fidelity structural and thermal analyses for SRM components.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams.
• Develop analytical models and validate with test data.
• Evaluate nonconforming hardware and propose dispositions and repairs.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews and failure investigations.
