Job summary

Haskell in Jacksonville is seeking a shop support worker to assist fitters, welders, and machine operators in structural steel fabrication. You will help with material staging, cutting, and assembly, while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

You will operate basic fabrication equipment safely, help move materials, and support production teams. A high school diploma and manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing, fabrication, construction, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate punches, grinders, drills, saws, oxy-fuel torches, and other basic equipment safely.
• Maintain work areas clean, organized, and safe; restock supplies.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and assemblies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, serviceable condition.
• Assist production personnel to support fabrication operations.
• Stage and transfer structural steel material; operate overhead cranes when trained.
• Assist with measuring, marking, and layout activities.
• Follow company safety, quality, and environmental policies.
