Job summary

The Haskell Company is seeking a skilled welder to lay out, fit, weld, fabricate, cast, and forge components to assemble structural forms, building, and bridge parts. You will work with AWS/AISC standards and project specifications in a fast paced shop environment.

Responsibilities include setting up welding equipment, maintaining certifications, assisting fitters, and ensuring quality welds. Travel may be required; safety and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of welding experience with appropriate certifications for welding type performed.
• Experience welding structural steel per AWS and AISC preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret weld symbols and fabrication documents.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and attendance.
• Effective verbal communication with fitters, supervisors, inspectors, and production personnel.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate welding equipment per procedures and project requirements.
• Maintain required welding certifications and ensure AWS and company quality compliance.
• Assist fitter with assembly of fabricated members.
• Operate cutting torches and heating equipment to achieve required preheat temperatures.
• Inspect welds for compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
• Travel as required; follow all safety, quality, and environmental policies.
