Job summary

All Things Metal is seeking a detail-oriented structural steel fabrication quality control inspector to join our Phoenix shop. You will perform QA/QC inspections across fit-up, welds, final QC, and coatings, and maintain inspection records per QSM standards.

Qualifications include five years of fabrication shop welding experience, structural steel background, ability to read shop drawings, and knowledge of AWS/AISC codes. CWI is a plus but not required; safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Five years fabrication shop welding experience.
• Structural steel experience.
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of AWS and AISC codes applicable to steel fabrication and erection.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) a plus, but not required.
• Must have structural steel fabrication experience.
• Comply with shop safety policies in a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain inspection records for quality assurance per City Certification QSM.
• Communicate effectively with fabrication foremen, project managers, and team members.
• Plan and coordinate inspections as required.
• Maintain compliance with the QSM throughout the Quality Control process.
• Establish and build quality control standards and processes as products progress.
• Lead internal and external quality audits and meet project deadlines.
