Jobot is seeking a dynamic Structural Steel Project Manager to join our growing team in the Midwest. This permanent role focuses on managing large-scale steel fabrication projects from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules and quality standards.

The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with clients, engineers and field staff, and drive project delivery while navigating contractual and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of proven project management experience in construction, preferably steel fabrication.
• Strong understanding of PM principles, cost control, scheduling, and contract management.
• Experience with budgeting and decision-making.
• Knowledge of safety codes and regulations.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• PMP certification is a plus.

We are a rapidly growing company in the Steel Fabrication space. We specialize in large-scale commercial construction projects, primarily located in the midwest.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to join our growing team.

This is a permanent position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our exciting and innovative projects.

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management, including initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure.
• Leading project planning sessions and managing project resources.
• Coordinating staff and internal resources, ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
• Assessing project risks and issues and providing solutions where applicable.
• Ensuring project deadlines are met and determining project changes.
• Providing regular project updates to stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
• Managing large and diverse teams, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure smooth execution of projects.
• Developing and managing detailed project budgets and controlling expenditures.
• Implementing and managing change when necessary to meet project outputs.
• Evaluating and assessing the results of the project.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of proven experience in project management in the construction industry, preferably in Steel Fabrication.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
• Demonstrated ability in contract management, budgeting, and decision-making.
• Excellent knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, quality standards and safety codes.
• Experience with construction management software.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
