Job summary

Schuff Steel Co. is seeking a Project Coordinator to facilitate the flow of technical information between the project management team, customers, subcontractors, and vendors.

You will develop relationships with clients through clear verbal and written communication and coordinate with detailing and fabrication teams to ensure projects stay on track. The role involves reviewing drawings, coordinating sequencing, and guiding detailers with shop drawings while tracking submittals and schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or training from an approved technical school in engineering or detailing highly preferred.
• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in CM, Structural/Civil Engineering, or related technical area may substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews design drawings for accuracy and completeness and coordinates resolution with customers, design team, and other trades.
• Coordinates project sequencing and detailing job setup, including advance bills and shop drawings.
• Provides technical instructions to steel detailers for shop drawings per project requirements.
• Monitors project schedules regarding submittals, approvals, and shop fabrication releases.
• Facilitates RFI process with engineer and architect to keep information flowing.
