Job summary

Schuff Steel seeks a Project Coordinator in Costa Mesa, CA to help manage the flow of technical information between the Project Management team, customers, subcontractors, and vendors. You will develop relationships with internal and external clients through clear verbal and written communication, coordinating with other departments to ensure projects run smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates or technical training in engineering/detailing preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Review design drawings for accuracy and coordinate with customers and teams.
• Coordinate project sequencing and basic detailing setup, including bills and drawings.
• Provide guidance to steel detailers for shop drawings per project requirements.
• Monitor submittals, approvals, and shop fabrication releases and flag delays.
• Organize RFI process with engineer/architect/GC and maintain logs.
• Distribute drawings and liaise with shop, field, and detailers to resolve issues.
• Maintain daily communication with project leadership on progress.
