Job summary

Schuff Steel is seeking a Project Coordinator to manage the flow of technical information between the Project Management team, customers, subcontractors, and vendors. The role involves ensuring smooth project execution, coordinating detailing, scheduling, and communications across departments, with travel as needed.

The candidate should have five years of related experience in coordinating structural steel projects, a strong ability to read drawings, and proficiency with Tekla and related tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or training from an approved technical school in engineering or detailing preferred.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in CM, Structural/Civil Engineering, or related field may substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews design drawings for accuracy and coordinates resolution with customers and design team.
• Coordinates project sequencing and detailing setup, including advance bills and shop/erection drawings.
• Provides technical instructions to steel detailers for shop drawings per project requirements.
