Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Specialty Technician I to join our Allentown team. You will perform field observations, inspections, and testing of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement.

Work under supervision with potential fabrication facility involvement. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years’ related experience, and 2 relevant specialty certifications from NRC, NICET, WACEL, ACI, IFC, AWS, ASNT,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
• Working knowledge of destructive and non‑destructive testing principles and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observations, testing, inspections, and sampling of construction materials.
• Conduct testing of structural and reinforcing steel using appropriate methodologies and equipment.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and draft documentation.
• Maintain site communication with contractors and project managers; attend meetings as required.
• Receive ECS training for project observations and testing, document findings accurately.
