Job summary

ECS Limited, part of ECS Group of Companies, seeks a Specialty Technician I for Fayetteville. You will perform field-based destructive and non-destructive testing, inspections, and observations on specialty construction materials projects, focusing on structural steel, welding observations, and NDE while under supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, two specialty certifications, OSHA 10 may be required, and a valid driver’s license if driving for ECS.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Obtain two specialty certifications applicable to the work performed as per ECS Technician Certification Policy.
• General industry OSHA 10 may be required.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiary.

Responsibilities

• Performs destructive and non-destructive testing on construction materials.
• Conducts inspections of structural steel, reinforcing steel, and connections (welded and bolted).
• Performs field observations and inspections and collects samples for testing.
• Documents findings in accordance with engineering and inspection standards.
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Reports changes in site conditions and additional testing needs.
• Prepares and submits daily field reports and documentation.
• Maintains and organizes field testing equipment.
• Attends project meetings as requested.
• Performs other specialty testing and inspection duties as assigned.
