Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled supervisor to direct crews in raising, placing, and uniting girders and other structural steel components. You will interpret steel drawings to coordinate location and orientation, ensuring timely, safe task completion on the job site.

The role requires planning workloads, directing hoisting operations, and maintaining strict adherence to safety rules. Strong welding, rigging, and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Knowledge of common concepts and procedures in the field.
• Ability to make independent decisions on task completion.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct crew work and timelines to complete tasks.
• Set up hoisting equipment and raise/place structural steel members.
• Signal hoisting operator and guide member into position.
• Align holes and bolts, verify vertical/horizontal alignment.
• Cut and weld steel members to make alterations.
• Load, transport, and secure materials and tools; perform basic maintenance.
