Job summary

Brown and Root External is seeking a skilled structural steel worker to join the crew. Responsibilities include setting up hoisting equipment, lifting and aligning steel members, and performing measurements to ensure proper placement.

The role requires experience with rigging, reading blueprints, and teamwork, with potential progression from Journeyman to Leadman based on performance and certifications. Safety is a priority on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related field experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, plans and drawings.
• Plan work and select proper tools; perform with accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up hoisting equipment and lift structural-steel members.
• Fasten steel members to hoist cables and guides.
• Signal hoisting operator to lift and place members.
• Align and bolt/weld components; ensure proper fit and level.
