Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking skilled candidates to join a crew responsible for erecting and aligning structural steel components in construction projects. You will read drawings, interpret instructions, and perform rigging, lifting, bolting, and welding tasks with an emphasis on precision and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics and measurement.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and instructions.
• Follow established guidelines and work under supervision.
• Frame and bolt alignment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up hoisting equipment and position structural-steel members.
• Fasten steel members to hoist cable using chain, cable or rope.
• Signal hoisting operator to lift and place members.
• Guide members into position with tag line; align holes.
• Cut and weld steel members as needed for alterations.
• Load, transport, and unload materials and tools.
• Maintain safety rules and proper PPE; perform routine tool maintenance.
