Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA/QC, inspection, welding, fabrication, shipbuilding, ship repair, or related marine industry experience.
• Strong understanding of welding drawings, blueprints, specifications, and quality documentation.
• Active Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Level II certification required.
• Experience in a shipyard, marine, naval, defense, or heavy industrial environment.
• Knowledge of NAVSEA, ABS, AWS, or similar industry standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on structural steel, aluminum fabrication, welding, and ship repair activities.
• Verify work is completed in accordance with customer requirements, approved procedures, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct and document inspections throughout fabrication, repair, and installation processes.
• Review work packages, drawings, welding documentation, and quality records.
• Coordinate with production personnel, supervisors, customers, and quality team members to resolve quality issues.
• Witness and verify inspection and testing activities.
• Generate inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action documentation.
• Support internal and external audits as required.
