Job summary

APM Terminals is seeking a QA Inspector to conduct onsite structural and mechanical inspections in line with project specs. You will act as the QA SPOC for assigned projects and help finalize the ITP, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards.

You will maintain QA records and coordinate with manufacturers and terminals on quality issues. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in welding/mechanical/structural engineering, 5+ years in heavy industry, and proficiency with AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding, or Mechanical or Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Any additional training in quality management and/or inspection is beneficial.
• Any additional training in structural/mechanical fields in heavy industrial environment is beneficial.
• Minimum of 5 years of working experiences in heavy industry sector.
• Ability to interpret structural and mechanical engineering drawings, layouts and specifications.
• English: Speaks on basic to advanced level, must be able to communicate in writing and to read technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite structural and mechanical inspections in line with project specifications and standards.
• Serve as QA SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for the specific project(s).
• Assist in finalizing the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and ensure inspections follow it.
• Maintain QA records and submit reports to the CES Project QA SPOC or site QA leadership.
• Engage with manufacturers and terminals to discuss and resolve quality issues related to equipment manufacturing.
