Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer invites a Principal Structural Engineer to join our team, leading projects across water and wastewater facilities in the Northeast and beyond. The role emphasizes project management, technical leadership, and mentorship of junior staff.

Candidates should have a Civil Engineering degree with a structural concentration, a PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and 5–12 years of related experience, with proficiency in structural codes and design software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with structural focus or Structural Engineering.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 5–12 years of related experience in structural design/construction.

Responsibilities

• Project engineering/management, mentoring, and staff development.
• Design and construction of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and aluminum projects.
• Produce design calculations, reports, permits, and plans for water/ wastewater facilities.
• Support construction activities including submittals, RFIs, site inspections.
