Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer for offices in NY, NJ, CT, or MA. You will lead structural design and project management for water-related infrastructure, with fieldwork and occasional travel.

The role offers client development, mentoring, and technical leadership across the Northeast and Midwest, with a focus on NY, NJ, and CT projects and a flexible hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering; structural concentration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project engineering/management, mentoring and developing junior staff, site inspections and assessments.
• Perform design and construction tasks for water and wastewater projects.
• Produce design calculations, reports, permitting and detailed design for environmental structures.
• Participate in construction tasks including submittal review, RFIs, site inspections and clarifications.
• Provide technical engineering leadership.
• Staff development.
