Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer seeks a Principal Structural Engineer to lead a diverse team on water-related projects across NY, NJ, CT, and MA. The role involves planning, design, permitting, and construction oversight for drinking water, wastewater, and related water resources facilities.

Candidates will mentor staff, contribute to client development, and travel for site visits as needed. A PE license and 5–12 years of experience are preferred, with a formal focus on structural design and codes.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering with a structural concentration.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 5–12 years of related experience in structural design/construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead project engineering/management, mentor staff, and perform site inspections for water infrastructure projects.
• Design and construct structural components for water and wastewater facilities.
• Produce calculations, reports, permits, and drawings for environmental structures.
