Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join the Building Engineering Services Business Group in Walnut Creek or Folsom, CA.

You will oversee structural design for diverse markets and collaborate with a multidiscipline team across planning, construction documents, and construction administration. The role requires a Civil/Structural engineering degree, a PE license, leadership ability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering with structural emphasis.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in structural engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, RISA, STAAD, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS and SAFE.

Responsibilities

• Review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Write and edit structural specifications and perform calculations.
• Coordinate the structural design team through design development and contract documents.
• Meet with agencies for code compliance and approvals.
• Lead design development and construction document sessions at project sites.
• Coordinate workload through design phases to meet schedules.
• Coordinate with affected disciplines and manage addenda, RFIs, change orders.
