Job summary
HDR is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join the Building Engineering Services Group in Walnut Creek or Folsom, CA. You will lead the structural design for a range of markets from technology to education, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams through planning, construction documents and administration.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis, a PE/SE license, and at least 5 years of structural engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in civil/structural engineering or architectural engineering with structural emphasis.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or SE license as applicable.
- Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience.
- Experience with structural design and detailing for building projects.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and leading design development.
Responsibilities
- Review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
- Write and edit structural specifications, select procedures and sizes, complete calculations.
- Coordinate the structural design team through design development and contract documents.
- Lead meetings with agencies for code compliance.
- Conduct design development and field sessions with the project team.
- Coordinate with affected disciplines and manage changes and RFI responses.
