Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in Walnut Creek or Folsom, CA. You will design the structural systems for diverse markets and coordinate with a multidiscipline team from planning to construction administration.

You should have a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years of design experience, and a PE license; a Master's is preferred. HDR offers employee ownership and a collaborative culture with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and PE license required.
• 10+ years of design experience managing civil/site projects.
• Experience leading multi-discipline teams and projects.
• In-person office culture and active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design across the project lifecycle and coordinate with a multidiscipline team.
• Develop construction drawings, specifications, and calculations; review shop drawings.
• Mentor EITs, junior engineers, designers, and modelers toward training and delivery.
• Manage staffing, schedules, and client/stakeholder communications.
• Support marketing, proposals, and senior project delivery.
