Job summary

Careers Launch Talent Group is seeking a Project Engineer to design specialty structural elements, including Buckling Restrained Braces (BRBs), and verify connections and gusset plates. The role requires collaboration with Structural Engineers of Record (SEORs) and coordination with fabricators, detailers, and erectors to ensure design integrity across projects worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• On track to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain is preferred.
• Understanding of current building codes and standards, engineering fundamentals, and structural load paths.
• Familiarity with seismic and structural steel design preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Operational knowledge of RAM SS, ETABS, RISA, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design of BRBs and their connections.
• Design of gusset plates and verification of local effects in frame members.
• Analyze project documents to ensure compliance with design requirements.
• Assist with design alongside SEORs responsible for BRB-based structures.
• Coordinate with SEORs, steel fabricators, detailers, and erectors throughout projects.
• Generate deliverables such as design drawings and calculation packages.
• Review and verify shop drawings and respond to RFIs.
• Address plan check and peer review comments related to BRB design.
• Support bidding, pricing, travel, marketing, and R&D activities as needed.
