Aerotek in York, PA is seeking a Field Welder to perform structural MIG welding on steel beams and connections within a large warehouse restoration project. You will work at heights using aerial lifts, following strict safety and hot-work procedures to ensure structural integrity.

The role requires blueprint and weld-symbol interpretation, fit-up, grinding, and repairs in a fast-paced warehouse environment with emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Essential: 1+ year experience in structural MIG welding in shop or field.
• Overhead/vertical MIG welding on structural steel.
• Reading blueprints, structural drawings, and weld symbols.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural MIG welding on beams, columns, and connections per specs.
• Execute overhead, vertical, and horizontal welds to high quality standards.
• Operate aerial lifts safely as part of daily tasks.
• Prepare, grind, fit, and layout weld areas.
• Inspect welds and perform corrective repairs as needed.
• Read blueprints and weld symbols; follow hot-work procedures.
