Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a MIG Welder for a day shift in Newark, DE. This contract-to-hire role blends MIG welding with general labor to refurbish industrial machinery. You will prepare surfaces, assist with demolition, and support a small team in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

Weekly pay is offered, with benefits available after eligibility. The position is onsite, and safety and craftsmanship are highly valued. Weekend work is not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial repair, manufacturing, or refurbishment environments.
• Ability to operate hand/power tools safely.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding to repair, reinforce, or modify metal components.
• Prepare and repair metal surfaces, including grinding and sanding.
• Assist with demolition and reassembly tasks.
• Read tape measures and basic drawings to ensure accurate cuts and fits.
• Lift and move heavy parts with hoists or dollies following safety rules.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow safety protocols.
• Support technicians with disassembly, cleaning, and inspection.
