Aerotek is seeking a Fabrication Shop Supervisor to lead a structural steel fabrication team in York, PA. You will oversee welders, fabricators, and machine operators to ensure on-time, high-quality output while enforcing safety standards.

The role requires 5+ years in fabrication with supervisory experience, strong blueprint reading, and knowledge of MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding. onsite work with a competitive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

5+ years in structural or miscellaneous steel fabrication.
2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in fabrication.
Strong blueprint reading and welding knowledge (MIG, Stick, Flux-Core).
Familiarity with AWS D1.1 standards and OSHA safety practices.
Strong communication, organization, and team leadership skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Supervise and develop a team of 8-12 fabrication employees.
Assign work, prioritize production schedules, and monitor production progress.
Review blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding requirements.
Ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 quality standards and OSHA safety regulations.
Perform quality inspections and address production or quality issues.
Coordinate materials, equipment maintenance, and production workflow.
Track labor, productivity, and job progress while communicating updates to management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and quality.
