Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator/Welder for a first shift in Lancaster, PA. The role requires advanced MIG/TIG welding, fabricating complex structural assemblies from shop drawings, and mentoring teammates.

The position is contract to hire with competitive benefits, including 401(k) match, health insurance options, 10 paid holidays, and PTO. Pay ranges from $28 to $35 per hour, depending on experience and weld test results.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressively responsible welding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Willingness to obtain welding certifications such as AWS D1.1, D1.6, or D1.2.
• High school diploma or GED; technical welding education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out, fit, fabricate, weld, and finish complex structural steel assemblies.
• Perform MIG or TIG welding per procedures and codes.
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other materials.
• Interpret complex shop drawings, tolerances, and BOMs.
• Review drawings before production and identify issues.
• Establish fabrication plans, weld sequencing, and inspection points.
• Produce welds meeting visual and dimensional standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors and teams to resolve production issues.
