Job summary

Consor in Golden, Colorado is seeking a Junior Engineer on the Structural Assessment team. You will perform field inspections of bridges, overhead signs, dams, and tunnels, with occasional nationwide travel.

In the field you’ll collect measurements, document conditions, take photos, and record information on a tablet, facing varied access like ladders, drones, or underwater inspection. Office duties include preparing inspection reports, structural analysis, load ratings, and retrofit design.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil/structural eng degree preferred.
• Willing to travel out-of-state for emergency work.
• EIT or EI certification is a plus.
• Ability to perform field bridge inspections with various access methods.

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety inspections of bridges and prepares written reports.
• Assists inspections using testing methods, machinery, drones, and sonar devices.
• Mobilizes to other offices/states as required.
• Performs additional structural assessment duties.
