Job summary

Consor is seeking a Junior Engineer to join the Structural Assessment team in Missoula, MT. The role blends field inspections of bridges and infrastructure with office work on reports, load ratings, and retrofit design.

Expect travel across the US and a path to grow technically while leveraging your civil/structural engineering degree. Candidates should have a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, strong teamwork skills, and a willingness to train in FHWA manuals.

Qualifications

• Teamwork and communication in a field-heavy role.
• Willingness to attend FHWA BIRM training and keep up with continuing education.
• Willing to travel out-of-state or on short notice for emergency work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections of bridges and structures and write technical reports.
• Assist inspections using testing methods, machinery, drones, or sonar.
• Mobilize to other offices/states to staff inspection teams.
• Perform additional structural assessment duties as assigned.
