Job summary

PrideStaff is seeking a Structural Fitter in Northwest Houston with 5+ years of experience to interpret blueprints and assemble structural steel components, conveyor frames, and supports.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, laying out steel components, tack welding, and operating overhead cranes/forklifts while maintaining a safe, clean work area. Weekly schedule is Monday–Friday with possible Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural fitting or steel fabrication experience.
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills (tape measure, squares, calipers).
• Knowledge of steel types, sizes, and geometric shapes.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, lay out steel components, and perform tack welding.
• Prep materials using saws, ironworkers, magnetic drills, and grinders.
• Inspect fitted assemblies for precise dimensions and quality.
• Safely operate overhead cranes/forklifts and maintain a clean work area.
