Job summary

Englobal a Gulf Island Company in Houston, TX is seeking a Structural Fitter to assemble structural frameworks using angle iron, I-beams and related components in our fabrication and I&E integration shop.

The role requires 2+ years in structural fitting, blueprint reading, and compliance with AWS D1.5 tolerances, plus the ability to pass a drug screen and background check. OSHA PPE and crane operation experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in structural fitting within a fabrication environment.
• Must be able to pass a structural fitter test (45 degree cut out I Beam with torch).
• Knowledge of AWS D1.5 fitting tolerances.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align and fit together fabricated parts of structural metal products according to blueprint and layout specifications.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with customers, coworkers, clients and supervisors.
• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of area.
• Work in a safe and conscientious manner.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including cleaning, trash/scrap removal and other production related jobs.
• Assist in yearly audited inventory process.
