Job summary

Pacesetter Personnel Services is seeking a Structural Fitter Class II for our client in the Brookshire, TX area. The role involves reading blueprints, fitting structural frames, and performing cutting and welding tasks to exact specifications.

You will interpret fabrication drawings, measure to precise tolerances, and operate equipment such as an overhead crane while adhering to safety protocols. Weekly pay and daytime schedules with some weekend requirements are noted.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of structural fitting experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with cutting, beveling, and welding of steel.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and fabrication drawings.
• Fit structural frameworks and components according to layouts and drawings.
• Cut, contour, and bevel metal plates and structural shapes to specified dimensions.
• Check grooves, angles, dimensions, and gap allowances using calipers and other precision measuring instruments.
• Burn, measure, and tack weld steel components to ensure proper alignment and assembly.
• Operate an overhead crane to safely move and position materials and assemblies.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately, safely, and according to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all company safety procedures.
