Job summary

You will read blueprints, measure and align parts, perform tack welds, and use grinders, torches, and cutting tools. Must have 5+ years in heavy fabrication, HS diploma or GED, and pass pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in structural fit-up, heavy fabrication preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading and precise measurement skills.
• Ability to tack weld during fit-up and meet tolerances.
• Must be able to work independently and with welders and supervisors.
• HS Diploma or GED required and able to pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Measure, cut, and align metal components for welding.
• Fit and assemble structural steel, pipe, or metal components per specs.
• Perform Flux Core welding on carbon steel.
• Operate fabrication equipment (grinders, torches, cutting tools).
• Operate cranes and forklifts.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and structural standards.
