Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Structural Engineering New Graduate in Urbandale, IA for Summer 2027. You will work with experienced engineers on hands-on design, analysis, and project execution with mentorship and training from day one.

You will support structural analysis, design, and document development for various systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams and adhering to budget and IMEG standards. Growth opportunities and ESOP ownership are available.

Qualifications

• BS degree in civil/structural/architectural engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems using engineering software to create designs, specs and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to understand needs, gather requirements, and communicate technical information effectively; build client relationships.
• Support project execution as part of a team and help with planning/scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and instructions from clients while tracking progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and propose practical solutions with senior staff.
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes to meet standards and client requirements.
• Stay current with industry trends and contribute to research and innovation within IMEG.
• Prioritize safety and ethical conduct, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Engage in full project life cycle from conception through construction including construction administration duties.
