Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Urbandale, IA is seeking a Summer 2027 New Graduate in Structural Engineering. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience with mentorship and training from day one.

You will support structural analysis, develop documents for structural systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects across structural, commercial, and institutional work, advancing sustainable design goals including SE2050.

Qualifications

BS degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering
Knowledge of design techniques for steel, concrete, wood, masonry
Knowledge of engineering software/tools for structural design
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel up to 5%

Responsibilities

Assist in design and analysis of structural systems with various materials and create designs, specs, and calculations.
Interact with clients to understand needs and communicate technical information; build client relationships.
Work as part of a project team to support execution and schedule tasks to meet deadlines.
Assist documenting design decisions and monitor progress.
Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and propose innovative solutions; collaborate with senior engineers.
Participate in IMEG quality control processes to meet standards.
Stay up to date with industry trends and contribute to innovation efforts.
Prioritize safety and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Engage in full life cycle from conception through construction; develop designs, construction documents, and assist with construction administration.
