Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Structural Engineering Manager to lead design, analysis, and inspection of structural systems for buildings and infrastructure in Duluth, MN. You will coordinate across disciplines from concept to construction, managing multiple projects and client relations.

The role requires a bachelor’s in civil/structural engineering (ABET-accredited) with 8+ years of experience, strong math skills, and proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 8+ years related experience in design of structural systems (concrete, masonry, steel, wood, etc.).
• Excellent project management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong mathematical skills for load analysis and structural design.
• Proficiency with CAD drafting using AutoCAD or Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for projects, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation communicating findings and recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, engineers, and architects.
• Prepare documents, detailed calculations and specifications for structural systems within schedule and budget.
• Work closely with current and prospective customers.
• Perform construction site visits and field observations.
• Collect field data and prepare field reports.
